The ancient roman also depend the economy for their luxury life style.  The Romans uses boat launches from their huge harbor, Ostia 24 kilometer east from Rome. Chariot from the well build roads (all roads leads to Rome). Most of the import into Rome is disturbed and sent to different part of their empire.
